Description
In the future, Nikola Tesla's dream of a 'World System' of electricity is realized. Cords and batteries are a thing of the past, and now people can directly draw energy using devices known as 'coils.' Some people, however, modify these coils for destructive purposes. Mabuchi Kyoma, a man who lives in ruins and has a passion for 'vintage' gas-powered cars, has good reason to know what damage these coils can do. He takes on assignments from a fat woman known as Marie, recovering illegal coils in exchange for cash and gasoline. One day, he goes out on one of his usual missions, to retrieve ill...

The character design is interesting, but cliché to death on too many characters,
was going to forgive for the art, but i cant enjoy a story where i already know what will happen five pages before they happen.
i've reached the point where the MC's past is explained, and it's a damn trainwreck, to an extent where you will scream, and throw that expensive piece of junk through the window.. the new characters added from that point are completely bland. the "power cells" involved in this story are also a big letdown, i've dropped and sold my volumes to a friend, at my loss. a shame really, because my edition glows in the dark.
Too bad it's to a good reason enough to keep 'em.
bought some Gunnm Last Order volumes instead, which i recommend over this mayonnaise of a story.

This is a lot different (and better) than I thought it would be based on the description. There's only been three stories/arcs so far (as of chapter 21) but this appears to actually be a sort of detective manga with some other stuff mixed in. It's not a really hard-core detective type of series where the clues are all provided so you can figure it out on your own but it's definitely using some of the classic mystery tropes - closed room murder, phantom thief, etc.
Though the basic premise (guys who hates certain something is partnered with something powered by what he dislikes.sounds familiar right?) has been done, the storyline itself is very interesting. The artwork is well suited and the translation is also good. Cant wait for more releases!
